COVID-19: Uche Hails Abia Warriors Management

Former Nigeria junior international and Abia Warriors safe hands Uche Okafor (MON) has plaudits Abia Warriors management for their show of professionalism in the running of the club affairs.

The vastly experienced shot-stopper while speaking from his base in Enugu State where he is staying safe with his family.

“Abia Warriors is really a household name in Nigeria football and the club under the chairmanship of Pastor Emeka Inyama has been setting  the pace in the Nigeria Professional league, our league will sure grow to an enviable height if other NPFL clubs borrow a leaf from what Abia Warriors is doing”

“Since I joined the club from FCIU, there has never been a month we were told stories about our salaries and allowances. The club has equally maintained its standard amid the Covid-19 Pandemic”

“We have received our salaries in the past two months as at when due and no player salary were being tampered with against what is obtainable in other clubs sides in top leagues where their players are being subjected to 30% or 50% pay cut as a result of the novel Covid-19 effect”

“Kudos to our coach, Willy Udube for keeping us fit from a distance and I can proudly say that all the training programmes he gives at the beginning of every week has been indeed helpful. This shows his level of professionalism ”
