The Les Bluets of France came from behind to grab the 18th edition U17 male world football cup Bronze medals from the Oranje Boys of Netherlands 3-1.

Utility player, Mulinga got a wonderful hat trick scoring 22′, 54′ and 62′ but the flying header that brought the 2nd goal for France was a beauty to behold.

Mohammed Taabulani opened score for Netherlands 15′ but poor marksmanship and loss of strength made the Oranje arrangements collapse like a pack of cards.

The French boys are still the highest scoring team with 22 goals now though they conceded 6 goals whereas Netherlands scored 14 goals and conceded 12.

It was an irony that Netherlands that were European champions where France also came from dusted them in the same manner they did to world defending champions, England in the European qualifiers.

France were world champions in 2001 but they now add a Bronze medal to their record in 7 appearances. Netherlands got a Bronze in 2005 but now added 4th position as best performances in 3 appearances.

Netherlands had edged former five times world champions, Golden Eaglets of Nigeria 3-1 in the round of 16 games.

They got into the round of 16 being one of the four best losers from the group stages.

The world awaits the grand finale between hosts, Samba Boys of Brazil and the Hero Boys of Mexico at 1100 hours tonight.
